Kay Scott, da nubile de Lautour, è
nata a Wairoa in Nuova Zelanda ed è la figlia di un Veterano che ha
combattuto in Italia nell'ultima Guerra mondiale.
Si è laureata con lode in Belle Arti
ed insegna presso il Whitecliffe College per le Arti ed il Design ad
Auckland, in Nuova Zelanda. Le sue opere fanno parte della
collezione d'arte contemporanea neozelandese del James Wallace
Charitable Arts Trust, del
Queen Elizabeth II Army
Memorial Museum, Waiouru, the Waikato Stadium, Hamilton e di collezioni private in Nuova Zelanda,
Australia, Stati Uniti ed Europa.
Espone regolarmente ad Auckland, Hamilton e
Wellington.
Ha visitato Cassino per la prima volta nel
2001, tornando nel 2004 per partecipare alle commemorazioni del 60°
Anniversario con il padre, Erich de Latour, del 18° reggimento
corazzato, Comando Trasmissioni divisionale della 2ª Forza di
Spedizione neozelandese in Italia.
Cogliendo l'occasione di questi viaggi, Kay ha
trascorso molte settimane in Ciociaria nell'autunno del 2004,
producendo una notevole mole di opere artistiche durante tale
periodo.

Kay
Scott, nee de Lautour, was born in Wairoa, New Zealand, and is
the daughter of a WWII veteran. She visited Cassino in 2001,
attended the 2004 60th anniversary commemorations at
Cassino, and returned with her father, Eric de Lautour, 25th
Infantry Battalion (Africa) and Div Sigs 18th
Armoured Regiment (Italy) 2nd NZEF, to spend several
weeks in the Ciociaria region later in 2004. This collection of
work is the result of that time spent in Italy.
Kay has a Master of Fine Arts
(First Class Honours) and tutors at Whitecliffe College of Arts
and Design, Auckland, New Zealand. Her work
has been purchased by the James Wallace Charitable Arts Trust
collection of New Zealand contemporary art, The Queen Elizabeth
II Army Memorial Museum, Waiouru, the Waikato Stadium, Hamilton,
and is in private collections in New Zealand, Australia, USA and
Europe. She
exhibits regularly in Auckland, Hamilton and Wellington, New
Zealand and lives and paints in Italy for part of each year.
